I am writing these prayers for Palestine today because I feel so much in my heart for the people there. It is hard to see the news sometimes and not feel like you want to do something more. I am not a big writer, but I think words have power.
Why We Need These Prayers for Palestine Right Now
I see pictures on my phone and it makes me really sad. I see kids and old people who just want to be safe. Sometimes, it feels like the world is too big for us to fix, but I believe that talking to God can make a difference. When we pray, we are saying that we care. We are saying that those people are our brothers and sisters. I wanted to make this list so we can all pray together. Even if your English isn’t great like mine, God knows what we mean. He hears the heart, not just the grammar.
1. Safety for the Little Kids
Children should be playing and learning their ABCs. They should not be hearing loud noises that scare them at night. It makes me cry to think about a kid who doesn’t have a toy or a warm bed because of what is happening. We need to ask for them to be protected by angels. I think their lives are so precious and they deserve a chance to grow up and be whatever they want to be, like a doctor or a teacher.
- Bible Verse: Matthew 19:14 — “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
- How to Pray: Close your eyes and imagine a little girl or boy smiling. Ask for a shield of light to be around them.
- Prayer: Dear God, please keep the children safe today. Don’t let them be scared of the loud sounds. Give them a piece of bread and a soft place to sleep tonight. Let them feel Your love like a big hug. Amen.
2. Food and Clean Water
I know how it feels to be thirsty after running, but I can’t imagine not having water for a long time. People need water to live and to stay clean. It is a basic thing that everyone should of had. I pray that trucks with water can get through and that nobody has to go to bed with a rumbling tummy. It’s really hard to think about moms not having food for their babies.
- Bible Verse: Matthew 25:35 — “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.”
- How to Pray: When you drink a glass of water today, say a quick thank you and ask God to send some to the thirsty.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please open the doors so food can get to the hungry families. Make sure the water is clean so they don’t get sick. We ask for enough for everyone to eat their fill today. Amen.
3. Doctors and Nurses
The people who work in hospitals are so brave. They work all day and all night without much sleep. I think they are like heroes without capes. They need more medicine and more help. I hope they don’t get too tired because so many people is counting on them. We should pray for their hands to be steady and their hearts to stay strong even when things look bad.
- Bible Verse: Jeremiah 30:17 — “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.”
- How to Pray: Think about the smell of a hospital and ask for peace to be in those halls.
- Prayer: Lord, please give the doctors extra energy. Help them find the medicine they need to fix the hurts. Let them feel that they are not alone and that we are praying for their safety too. Amen.
4. Mothers and Dads
Parents just want to protect their family. It must be so hard to feel like you can’t keep your kids safe. I see the look in their eyes in photos and it’s full of love but also a lot of worry. I want them to have peace in their minds. I want them to find a way to stay together and not be separated. Their love is what keeps the families going.
- Bible Verse: Exodus 20:12 — “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
- How to Pray: Think of your own mom or dad and then pray that same safety for parents in Palestine.
- Prayer: Dear God, please give the parents there a lot of strength. Help them find ways to make their kids feel safe even when it is hard. Give them wisdom to know where to go and how to stay together. Amen.
5. Peaceful Nights
Night time is supposed to be for resting. But for many, it is the scariest time because of the darkness and the sounds. I want the stars to be the only thing they see in the sky. These prayers for Palestine are meant to bring a little bit of light into that darkness. If everyone could just sleep for eight hours without fear, the world would be much better.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 4:8 — “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.”
- How to Pray: Before you go to bed, pray for those who are staying awake because they are afraid.
- Prayer: Lord, please quiet the skies tonight. Let the families lay down and actually fall asleep. Take away the nightmares and replace them with dreams of a beautiful, quiet world where they are safe at home. Amen.
6. Helping the Hurt
There are so many people with bandages and broken bones. It’s not just their bodies that hurt, but their spirits too. When you lose your house or your things, it hurts deep inside. I pray for the “inside” healing as much as the “outside” healing. People needs to know that they still have a future even if today is really messy and painful.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 147:3 — “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
- How to Pray: Put your hand on your heart and pray for those who feel broken today.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please heal the people who are hurt. For those in pain, please bring relief. For those who are sad, please bring a little bit of comfort. Let them know that their lives still matter very much. Amen.
7. Keeping Schools Open
I know some kids don’t like school, but it’s really important. It’s where you see your friends and learn things. When schools are closed or broken, the kids lose their “normal” life. I want them to have books and pencils again. Learning is how they will build a better place later on. I think every kid should have a desk and a teacher who cares about them.
- Bible Verse: Proverbs 4:13 — “Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.”
- How to Pray: Pray for the teachers who are trying to teach even when it is hard.
- Prayer: Dear God, please protect the schools. Let the children go back to their classrooms soon. Help them to learn and to play with their friends again. Give them hope that they have a bright future ahead of them. Amen.
8. Building New Houses
So many buildings are just piles of rocks now. It’s sad because those were homes where people lived and had dinner. I hope that soon, people can start building again. They need a roof over their head that doesn’t leak and walls that stay up. A home is a place where you feel like you belong. I want every family to have their own door to lock and feel safe behind.
- Bible Verse: Isaiah 32:18 — “And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.”
- How to Pray: Look at your own walls and ask God to provide walls for those who have none.
- Prayer: Lord, we ask for homes to be rebuilt. Please provide the wood and the stone and the tools. Let families have a place to call their own again where they can be happy and grow together in peace. Amen.
9. Finding Lost Friends
Sometimes in the middle of all the trouble, people lose track of their friends or cousins. It’s scary not knowing if someone you love is okay. I pray that phones work and that people can find each other. A simple “hello” can mean so much. I want everyone to have a big reunion where they can cry happy tears because they found their loved ones.
- Bible Verse: Luke 15:6 — “And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.”
- How to Pray: Pray for a specific person who might be looking for their family right now.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help the people who are looking for their family members. Lead them to each other. Let the phone lines work or let them meet on the street so they can know they are okay. Amen.
10. Making Friends Between People
I think if people just sat down and had tea together, they would see they are not so different. Everyone wants the same things, like food and a happy family. I pray that the hate goes away and is replaced by wanting to be friends. It takes a lot of work to be kind when things are hard, but it’s the only way to make it stop.
- Bible Verse: Matthew 5:9 — “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
- How to Pray: Ask God to change hearts that are full of anger into hearts that want to be nice.
- Prayer: Lord, please help people to be kind to one another. Take away the angry feelings and help everyone see that we are all humans. Let there be a new start where people can live side by side. Amen.
11. No More War
This is the biggest prayer. I just want the fighting to stop forever. No more bombs, no more guns, just quiet. It feels like it has been going on for a long time. I think God can make a way where there is no way. We need a miracle for everything to just be peaceful so people can start living their lives again without looking over their shoulder.
- Bible Verse: Micah 4:3 — “And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”
- How to Pray: Imagine a world with no weapons at all.
- Prayer: Dear God, please stop the war. We ask for the fighting to end right now. Let there be a peace that stays forever. We are tired of seeing people get hurt. Please bring your quiet peace to the land. Amen.
12. Good Food for Everyone
Earlier I talked about food, but I mean real, healthy food. Like fruits and vegetables and bread. People need vitamins to stay strong. I hope the gardens can grow again. I see pictures of olive trees and I think they are beautiful. I want those trees to be full of olives and for the people to have plenty to share with their neighbors.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 104:14 — “He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth.”
- How to Pray: When you eat a piece of fruit, pray for the farmers who can’t work right now.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please bless the soil. Let the trees grow fruit and the gardens grow vegetables. Let there be so much food that no one has to worry about what they will eat tomorrow or next week. Amen.
13. Strong Hearts
It is easy to feel like giving up when things are bad. I pray for the people to have “lion hearts”—hearts that are brave and don’t lose hope. Even when they are sad, I want them to feel a little bit of strength inside that says, “I can keep going.” Hope is like a little candle in a dark room. I pray their candle never goes out.
- Bible Verse: Joshua 1:9 — “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
- How to Pray: Stand up tall and pray for courage for those who feel very weak.
- Prayer: Lord, please give strength to those who feel like they can’t go on. Fill their hearts with a brave feeling. Let them know that they are strong and that they are loved by so many people around the world. Amen.
14. Old People’s Safety
Grandmas and grandpas are sometimes forgotten because they can’t run fast. They need extra help and someone to hold their hand. I think they have so many stories to tell. I want them to be in a warm chair with a blanket. They should of been treated with a lot of respect and kept away from all the danger.
- Bible Verse: Isaiah 46:4 — “And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.”
- How to Pray: Think of your own grandparents and pray for the elderly who are alone.
- Prayer: Dear God, please watch over the old people. Help them to find a safe place where they can rest. Send someone to help them walk and to give them the medicine they need for their tired bodies. Amen.
15. Beautiful Gardens
I think plants make people feel better. These prayers for Palestine include the land itself. I want the flowers to bloom and the parks to be full of kids playing. When you see green things growing, it feels like life is coming back. I pray that the dust and the gray colors of the broken buildings are replaced by the green of trees and the bright colors of flowers.
- Bible Verse: Isaiah 58:11 — “And the Lord shall guide thee continually… and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.”
- How to Pray: Look at a flower and ask for beauty to return to the places that are broken.
- Prayer: Lord, please make the land beautiful again. Let the flowers grow in the middle of the ruins. Let the smell of life and growing things fill the air instead of smoke. We want to see Your beauty everywhere. Amen.
16. Clear Skies
Sometimes the sky is full of smoke or dust. I want the sky to be clear and blue. I want the people to look up and see the sun and feel its warmth. A clear sky means it’s a new day and maybe a better day. I think a beautiful day can give someone just enough hope to get through the next hour.
- Bible Verse: Genesis 9:13 — “I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”
- How to Pray: Look at the blue sky and ask for the same view for those in a war zone.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please clear the air. Let the smoke go away so the sun can shine down. Let the people feel the warmth on their skin and know that a new, peaceful day is coming for them very soon. Amen.
17. Soft Beds
Sleeping on a floor or on the ground is really hard on the back. I wish everyone had a soft mattress and a pillow that smells like lavender. Rest is how we heal. I pray that even in the shelters, people can find a way to be comfortable. Being comfortable helps you feel like a person again instead of just someone trying to survive.
- Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:24 — “When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”
- How to Pray: When you get into bed, thank God for your pillow and ask for one for others.
- Prayer: Lord, please provide beds for those who have lost theirs. Let them find a soft place to rest their heads. Give them blankets to stay warm and help them get the deep sleep that they really need. Amen.
18. Loud Laughter
Laughter is like medicine. Even when things are bad, a little joke can help. I want to hear the sound of kids laughing in the streets again. Laughter means that for a second, you forgot to be afraid. I pray for moments of joy to sneak in, even if they are small, like a funny bird or a silly game.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 126:2 — “Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.”
- How to Pray: Think of something funny and pray that someone who is sad can smile today.
- Prayer: Dear God, please bring laughter back to the people. Let the children play and giggle. Let the adults find a reason to smile even for just a minute. Joy is a gift from You, and we ask for it now. Amen.
19. Fairness
Everyone wants to be treated fairly. It’s not right when some people have everything and others have nothing. I pray for “justice,” which is a big word for being fair. I want the laws to help everyone and for no one to be pushed around because they are different. Fairness makes the world feel like a safe place where you can trust your neighbors.
- Bible Verse: Amos 5:24 — “But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.”
- How to Pray: Think about a time you were treated unfairly and pray that no one has to feel that.
- Prayer: Lord, please let there be fairness in the land. Help those in charge to make good choices that help every person. Let the truth be told and let everyone be treated with the respect they deserve as Your children. Amen.
20. Neighbors Helping Neighbors
In hard times, we need our neighbors. I hope that people who have a little bit extra share it with those who have nothing. If we all help each other, the heavy load becomes lighter. I pray for a spirit of “we are in this together.” I think a community that helps each other is very hard to break.
- Bible Verse: Galatians 6:2 — “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
- How to Pray: Think of how you can help someone near you, then pray for that same spirit there.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help neighbors to look out for each other. If one person has bread, let them share it. If one person is sad, let the other listen. Let them be a big family that takes care of its own. Amen.
21. Safe Travel
Sometimes people have to move to find safety. I pray that the roads are clear and that no one gets hurt while they are trying to find a better place. It must be so scary to pack your whole life in one bag and just walk. I want there to be people along the way who give them water and tell them which way to go.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 121:8 — “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
- How to Pray: If you are driving or walking today, pray for the safety of those on the move.
- Prayer: Lord, please protect the people who are traveling. Keep the roads safe from danger. Help them find the way to a place where they can rest and not be afraid anymore. Be their guide every step of the way. Amen.
22. Strong Schools
I mentioned school before, but we also need the teachers to be okay. They are going through the same hard things as the kids. I pray for the teachers to have patience and enough supplies. Even a piece of chalk can help a kid learn. I want the schools to be a place where kids feel like they can be kids again, away from the world’s problems.
- Bible Verse: Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
- How to Pray: Pray for the energy of a teacher you know, and then pray for teachers in Palestine.
- Prayer: Dear God, please give the teachers strength. Help them to be a light for the children. Provide the books and the paper they need. Let the classrooms be full of hope and learning for every single child there. Amen.
23. Music and Songs
Music makes the heart feel better. I hope that people can still sing their songs and play their instruments. Music is part of who we are. It tells our story. I pray that the sound of singing is louder than the sound of the war. When people sing together, it makes them feel united and strong.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 98:1 — “O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.”
- How to Pray: Listen to a song you love and pray that someone in Palestine can find a song too.
- Prayer: Lord, please put a song in the hearts of the people. Let them find comfort in their music. Let the beautiful sounds of their culture be heard and celebrated by everyone. Fill the air with peace and melody tonight. Amen.
24. Bright Mornings
Waking up can be hard if you don’t want to see what happened. I pray for the mornings to be bright and full of a feeling that today might be better. These prayers for Palestine are like a little “good morning” to the people there from all of us. I want them to wake up to the sound of birds, not the sound of machines or fighting.
- Bible Verse: Psalm 30:5 — “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
- How to Pray: As soon as you wake up, say a prayer for those waking up in a difficult place.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please let the morning bring good news. Let the people feel refreshed when they wake up. Give them a reason to hope that today will be the day that things start to get better for everyone. Amen.
25. Quiet Streets
A quiet street is a safe street. I pray that the cars can drive normally and people can walk to the store without being scared. I want the shops to be open and for people to talk to their friends on the corner. These prayers for Palestine are for the “normal” life to come back. Normal is a beautiful thing when you haven’t had it for a while.
- Bible Verse: Zechariah 8:5 — “And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.”
- How to Pray: Imagine a street with shops and families walking around peacefully.
- Prayer: Lord, please make the streets quiet and safe again. Let the shops open their doors. Let the people walk around without looking at the sky in fear. We ask for a normal, peaceful life for every neighborhood there. Amen.
26. Brave Helpers
There are people who drive ambulances and people who bring food. They are putting themselves in danger to help others. I think they are very special. We should pray that they are protected and that they always have enough supplies to do their job. They are the hands and feet of God on earth right now.
- Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:16 — “But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”
- How to Pray: Pray for the hands of the people who are carrying boxes of food or medicine.
- Prayer: Dear God, please protect the helpers. Keep the ambulance drivers safe. Keep the food workers safe. Give them everything they need to help as many people as possible. Thank You for their brave and kind hearts. Amen.
27. Enough Medicine
It’s really scary to be sick and not have a pill or a bandage. I pray that the pharmacies are full of what people need. Especially for the kids and the old people who get sick easily. I hope that even the small things, like Band-Aids and aspirin, are everywhere so people don’t have to suffer more than they already are.
- Bible Verse: Revelation 22:2 — “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life… and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
- How to Pray: Look at your medicine cabinet and ask for those supplies to reach the hospitals there.
- Prayer: Lord, please provide all the medicine that is needed. Let the trucks get through with the supplies. Heal the sick and help the hurt. Let no one have to suffer because they couldn’t find a simple medicine today. Amen.
28. Love in the Air
Even in a war, love is still there. I see people sharing what they have and hugging each other. I pray that love stays stronger than any other feeling. Love is what helps us survive. I want the people to feel the love from all around the world, from people like us who are praying for them every single day.
- Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:13 — “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
- How to Pray: Send a “mental hug” to anyone who is feeling unloved or alone right now.
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, please fill the air with love. Let the people feel that they are not forgotten. Let them be kind to each other and let them feel the prayers of the whole world surrounding them like a warm blanket. Amen.
29. Forever Peace
Lastly, we pray for a peace that doesn’t go away after a week. We want a peace that lasts for the kids’ kids. A peace where everyone can just be themselves and not be afraid. I think this is what God wants for all of us. It might seem impossible to us, but nothing is too big for God to handle.
- Bible Verse: Numbers 6:24-26 — “The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
- How to Pray: Take a deep breath and say “peace” slowly, then ask God for it to cover the whole land.
- Prayer: Dear Lord, we ask for a peace that lasts forever. No more fighting, no more sadness. Let this land be a place of rest and happiness for everyone who lives there. We trust You to make it happen. Amen.
FAQ about Prayers for Palestine
Can I pray even if I’m not very religious?
Yes, you definitely can! I think anyone who has a kind heart can say a prayer. It’s just like talking to a friend or sending good vibes. You don’t need to know fancy words or be in a church. God hears every heart that is sincere and wants to help.
How often should I say these prayers for Palestine?
You can say them as much as you want. I like to say a quick one when I see something on the news. Some people like to pray in the morning or before they go to sleep. There is no wrong way to do it. Just doing it once is already a good thing.
Does praying actually do anything?
I really believe it does. Even if we don’t see the change right away, it changes us. It makes us more kind and it keeps our hearts soft. And I believe that when many people pray together, it creates a big energy of love that can really help people feel less alone.
What if I don’t have a Bible?
That’s okay! You don’t need a book to talk to God. I included the verses here so you can read them, but you can just use your own words. Just tell God how you feel and what you hope for. He knows what’s in your heart before you even say it.
Can kids join in these prayers for Palestine?
Oh, for sure! I think kids have the best prayers because they are so honest. If you have a child, you can pray together. It’s a good way to teach them about being kind to others who are having a hard time in other parts of the world.
What if I get the words wrong?
Don’t worry about that at all. Like I said, my English isn’t perfect either! It’s the “wanting to help” that matters. God isn’t checking your spelling or your grammar. He’s looking at your love for other people.
I hope these prayers help you feel like you are doing something to help. It’s hard to feel like you can’t do anything, but praying is a very big thing. Even though we are far away, our hearts can be right there with the people. I think if we all keep hoping and keep asking for peace, one day we will see it happen. Thank you for reading my post and for caring about the world. It means a lot to me and I’m sure it would mean a lot to them too. Let’s keep these prayers for Palestine going every day until everyone is safe and happy again. Amen to that!
